Three forms, one inbox and a visit counter that can't tell who you are. Here's exactly what we take, who sees it, and how long we keep it.

Who we are

English for Techies is an Innov8 Global Labs programme. Innov8 Global Advisory runs it and is the controller for everything on this page:

Innov8 Global Advisory
21701 Stevens Creek Blvd #1022
Cupertino, California 95015
USA

For people in Russia there's also an operator under Federal Law No. 152-FZ; its details are on the Russian version of this page. To see what we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted, write to info@i8gl.com. That's the address for every question below.

What we collect

Only what you type into one of the three forms, and only when you press the button:

Each one also records which language you were reading and which page you sent it from, so we can reply in the right one. There are no cookies, no advertising pixels and no third-party scripts here: the typefaces and photographs come from this domain, and the Y Combinator talks are links to YouTube, not players loaded into the page. Our hosting provider records what every website receives - an IP address and a browser - to serve the page and keep it up.

Anonymous page statistics. We count visits with Umami, which we run ourselves. It sets no cookies, builds no profile and can't identify you: it records which page was opened, roughly which country from, which site sent you, and when a button or a form was used - never what you typed.

Why, and on what basis

To answer your application and hold a conversation about a seat, because you applied. To write when a cohort opens, or with the dispatch, because you asked us to. Nothing you give us is used for anything else, and nothing is sold, shared for marketing, or added to another list.

Who else touches it

Two companies, both named. Netlify, Inc. (United States) hosts the site and stores each submission when you press send. Google (Google Workspace) delivers the copy that lands in our inbox at info@i8gl.com. Neither reads it for its own purposes.

How long we keep it

Your rights

Ask what we hold, have it corrected, have it deleted, or take your consent back - one email to info@i8gl.com, no form to fill in. If you think we've handled something badly and haven't put it right, you can complain to the data protection authority where you live.

Security, and the honest limit of it

Everything travels over an encrypted connection and sits in Netlify's and Google's systems, which are far better protected than anything we could run ourselves. What we can't promise is that nothing will ever go wrong. If it does, and it affects you, we'll tell you.

Children

The course is for working adults. This site isn't aimed at anyone under 18 and we don't knowingly keep anything about anyone under 18; if you think we have, write to info@i8gl.com and it goes.

Changes

If any of this changes, the date at the top changes with it. We won't quietly widen what we collect.
